If the holes are small, you need a tiny amount of spackle. If the hole is really small, then you can use something as small as a bobby pin to apply spackle onto it. After your spackle has dried, use some sandpaper or even a credit card to smooth everything out and make the wall look new again. Top with paint. The holes will disappear.

Be sure and regularly clean out your air conditioning filter. The more clogged the filter is, the harder the unit has to work to cool down your home. The unit will also run for a longer period of time. Change out your filters monthly to avoid buildup.

When doing projects in the bathrooms or kitchen, make sure the water main is turned off. Before you start working, locate the shutoff when you working around your house’s water supply or pipes. This step will help you prevent a flood.

The next time you complete a project around the home, dedicate one specific space for debris and waste. Removing lots of rubbish can be expensive, and planning ahead can save time, money and the frustration of working around piles of discarded materials.

Your bathroom is another important part of your home. Bathrooms need to be in better shape than most other rooms since they are so much harder to update. A new buyer may be scared off by expensive changes needed to make a bathroom functional. Be sure that your tub and sink are in great shape and if they aren’t you should replace them. Put in tile flooring instead of linoleum.

Switch out your air filters often. It makes it easier to breathe in your home and also helps with the air conditioning and heating. Many repairmen get calls when the machine simply needed a new air filter, which makes it cost more than it should.
